Make mods for pc games

So many years playing games but the question remains same-What is a easy way to make mods for pc games (beginner)?

Answer -

Mod, or modification of a PC game, is not always easy. You didn't say what kind of game you are interested in modding, but generally, they do require some working knowledge of editing text, using a paint program, and being able to replace and manipulate files. As you get further into making mods, useful and perhaps necessary knowledge includes using variables & hexadecimals, a little geometry, and the ability to write things down or have a very, very good memory. ( Your heads, not just your computer's.) You may need to get used to doing something over and over again, or doing one thing that takes much longer than the rest.

To start, choose a game you will be modding. 3 excellent games, off the top of my head, are Oblivion, Morrowind and Fallout 3. Both of these had mod software created by the developers, given for free, and both have so much tutorials and step by step guides, you can practically create a mod in about 2 hours; like for example have a room set up with object and characters walking around with an AI implemented. That's not to say they are simple, though. You have to do some reading and be willing to follow directions to the tee.

Other games to start with are Warcraft 3 & Mount and Blade. These may be easier than messing around with the Bethesda mods because they don't always require you to fool around with 3d modeling. For excellent examples of how far mods have come, take a look at this Fallout 3 mod called REAL TIME SETTLER, or RTS: http://fo3settler.webs.com/aboutrts.htm
It's very good, and yet has a simple premise. Build a town from the ground up. Choose the people that will stay with you. Organize your resources. Protect your new town from enemies.

Here's what you really want to do: Take your favorite game. Find out if the developer or someone made an ability to create mods for it using certain tools or a specific program. Then study it. Read up on it, chances are there will be pages and pages of stuff, forums with questions and answers on modding it, and additional tools you can implement and use (such as music, sound or graphic manipulation software) It's a rabbit hole, but remember to take it easy first. Start slow and small. Build 1 room. Make 1 character. Plant 1 tree, change the settings of 1 gun, whatever the mod is, start it tiny. Then work your way up.

Good luck.
